Feb. 10th, 2004 10:01 pmAs always, just when we think we are finally getting ahead, something happens.
I have had a fantastic couple of weeks that would culminate in a matching paycheck on Friday. So when I get home to pick up the family, it struck. I put the car in park so we could put the kids in and it started going backwards. Apparently something broke in between our transmission shifter in the passenger compartment and the actual transmission so the car is stuck in reverse. No shifting whatsoever. Major suckage.
So we need to get up butt early to call the dealership and find out if it is still under warrantee (prolly not) and see about getting the car towed to either the dealership or our friend who is a mechanic (or his recommended place of repair) and there goes that check. The downside is that it is only Tuesday night and I don't get paid until Friday. This could be an issue...
The one bright side of an otherwise sucky day (business was fucking slow today) was my Movie Fairy arrived. The following list of films was added to my collection at next to no cost.

Thus the Rev. Fish Horror Library grew yet again. It will prolly be a couple weeks before the next additions. I am really looking forward to getting my DVD burner so I can get these things on disc and pass them on to someone else (and clear out space in our apartment).
