I am starting to educate the next generation of gamer, in my house at least. I just ordered the old 1980 version of the Basic Dungeons & Dragons rules with The Keep On The Borderlands so that I can start Dorian down the path to the Dork Side. Luckily, I have the original character sheets saved to disc somewhere so I can just print them off as I need.

Anybody have any old Basic D&D stuff they don't want anymore? I know of an awesome little boy who would get a lot of use out of it.

On the geek side, the wife and kids went to Disney for the weekend and they spent Sunday at Hollywood Studios for the first weekend of Star Wars Weekends. Jenn sent me a couple pics she took waiting to get in.


While waiting to get in, Dorian was waving his lightsaber around, attracting the attention of the stormtroopers on guard duty. He was shot on sight for brandishing a weapon used by the outlawed Jedi Order.


Have you ever seen anyone so happy to get shot?

Contact Garys games up here in Seattle. They sometimes have a few items from the old basic sets (Hell, I found a still in wrapper 3rd boxset, for mid level campaigns). Hope that helps.
