Miracles are possible
May. 2nd, 2003 11:50 pmWell, news on my grandmother.
As I posted before, she was admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure adn a stroke (verified by CT Scan). Sh was retaining a lot of fluid in her face/head, extremities, and around her heart. She didn't know who anyone was, where she was, or any of that.
Apparently, yesterday, during a lucid moment, the dr. was having her sign the documents signifying who was in charge of her care (my mom or her sister) and her handwriting was perfect. no shakes, no jitters, perfect beautiful handwriting. She hasn't had neat handwriting in at least 7 years, due to her Alzheimer's and all. The doctor freaked and ordered a whole battery of tests including an EEG, EKG, and MRI. Three days before, the CT showed the brain damage from the stroke and the minor stroke she had a few days before. On the new MRI, there was NO damage at all. She still has minor Alzheimer's but no stroke or heart related problems at all.
My mother is claiming it is a miracle (or as she says it, "The Lord put his hand on her") and this time, I can't deny it is a miracle, from what ever divine power you want to lay it on.
All I have to say, to whoever is responsible, is "Thanks".
And on top of it, the night before, Gandma said she talked with me during the night, and I did have a very vivd dream of talking with her. Kinda weird, but re-enforces my belief that we ARE only using a little bit of our available power.
